About

Nau mai, Haere mai

Ko Georgi toku ingoa, I’m Georgi.

I am a kaiako (teacher), mama to 3 beautiful humans, wife, foodie, and passionate neurodivergence-positive educator.

I started this blog 10 years ago when I had the opportunity to establish Hobsonville Point Secondary School’s library. There are posts and resources available about my thoughts on gaming in education, digital citizenship, and library strategies and vision.

Now I’m studying to become a specialist teacher in complex educational needs. I have a passion for tāmariki who have the added gifting and challenges that come with neurodivergence.

Our world needs these kinds of minds and in fact all kinds of minds.

Neurodiversity is a gift, after all a world where everyone was the same would be a rather boring place, right?

On this site you will find resources about:

  • learning differences
  • strategies to support learners
  • Aotearoa School supports
  • Tāmaki Makarau social services and supports. neurodiverse tāmariki
  • Links to amazing books and podcasts to support your journey
  • Every so often a blog post or two of my latest musings or podcast finds

You are welcome here, no matter how your brain is wired or how you identify.

I hope that you find something that inspires, empowers, or enthralls you.

He waka eke noa
We’re all in this together
